The Lille Piano(s) Festival is an annual festival created in 2004 on the occasion of Lille being named European Capital of Culture. It was launched by Jean-Claude Casadesus, artistic director and founder, and is organized by the Orchestre National de Lille. Since its creation, the event has become a major highlight of Lille’s musical scene.
Since 2004, the festival has been celebrating keyboards in all their forms — classical, jazz, contemporary music, organ, video, dance, literature... It relies on strong support from the Nord Departmental Council, the Hauts-de-France Region, the French State, the European Metropolis of Lille, the City of Lille, and the BNP Paribas Foundation.
In terms of scope: around 200,000 spectators have attended since its creation.
