About the Lille Piano(s) Festival

‍The Lille Piano(s) Festival is an annual festival created in 2004 on the occasion of Lille being named European Capital of Culture. It was launched by Jean-Claude Casadesus, artistic director and founder, and is organized by the Orchestre National de Lille. Since its creation, the event has become a major highlight of Lille’s musical scene.

History and diversity

‍Since 2004, the festival has been celebrating keyboards in all their forms — classical, jazz, contemporary music, organ, video, dance, literature... It relies on strong support from the Nord Departmental Council, the Hauts-de-France Region, the French State, the European Metropolis of Lille, the City of Lille, and the BNP Paribas Foundation.

In terms of scope: around 200,000 spectators have attended since its creation.
